    Summer 2019: Parties in the Park 

    We, along with our partners,  offered summer activities for families and their children in two local parks on two separate dates.  Children had opportunities to play with a variety of toys and families gathered information regarding community resources.

    Summer 2019:  Birth to 3 Playdates and Networking

    We offered summer playdate and networking opportunities for families and their children.  The response was amazing. Families had the opportunities to have toy and book demonstrations, access our toy and book lending library, and discussion topics of interest selected by attendees.

    June 8, 2019:  3rd Annual Ice Cream Picnic and Bubbles Galore

    Over 175 people attended our 3rd Annual Ice Cream Picnic and Bubbles Galore, engaging as a family in the pleasure of bubbles, learning more about community resources available this summer including a free summer lunch program, signing up for online video resources, and meeting many of our coalition partners!

    April 8, 2019:  Week of the Young Child Family Concert  

    We sponsored a special family concert to “kick off” the Week of the Young Child with Susan Salidor!  Singing, dancing and laughter filled the room!

    January 12, 2019:  “Let’s Play”

    Over 200 people weathered a snow storm to attend Let’s Play 2019!  Families engaged in play stations, learned about community resources, signed up for online video resources, received vision screenings and much more!

    Fall 2018-Winter 2019: Think First For Babies 

    In partnership with Northwestern Medicine, we sponsored sessions where families could learn about safety and healthy practices for infants, car seat safety, and child development. If families attended all sessions, they received a new car seat!
