Dear CCSD93 Elementary School Parents,

All elementary school 3rd-5th grade students will be turning their CCSD93-issued MacBooks back into the District during the school day on May 23, 24 or 25 this year, depending on their school. This year, there will be updates to the process of distributing devices for the beginning of next school year. Please review the following instructions carefully, which vary depending on your child’s grade level.

Current 3rd & 4th Grade Students Returning to CCSD93 for 2023-24

Current 3rd and 4th grade students who will be returning to CCSD93 next school year will turn their CCSD93-issued MacBook back into the District during the school day on May 23-25, depending on the school. Students will be instructed to keep their computer bag and charging adapter and cord for the summer.

CCSD93 will not host a MacBook pickup this summer. Instead, next school year, these students will need to bring their computer bags on the first day of school to have their MacBook checked back out to them then. It is important to keep track of the computer bag and charging cords. If the computer bag is lost, you will be required to purchase a replacement bag from CCSD93 before the computer will be issued to your child. The device will NOT be sent home without a District-issued computer bag.

All Current 5th Grade Students & 3rd & 4th Grade Students Moving Out of District 

All current 5th grade students regardless of next year’s status, as well as any 3rd and 4th grade students who will be moving out of District this summer, will need to return ALL of the MacBook items loaned to them during the school day on May 23-25, depending on the school. This includes:

• MacBook laptop
• Charging adaptor and cord
• Computer bag with zipper pouch

Current 5th grade students who will be returning to a CCSD93 middle school next year will be issued an iPad, keyboard case and charger at the start of the 2023-24 school year instead of a MacBook. This will occur during a school day early next school year, and you will receive more information then.
