Dear Parents of the Class of 2019:
This letter should address any questions that you might have regarding our Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Glenbard North High School. Our students will be practicing for the ceremony in the next few weeks. We should have a beautiful ceremony. Please be aware of the following instructions:
Student Arrival: Students are expected to be at Glenbard North High School no later than 6:15 PM. All students should enter through entrance door #1 and meet in the student cafeteria.
Student Dress: This is a formal ceremony. Boys should be wearing dress shoes (no gym shoes), slacks (no jeans or shorts), shirt and tie. Girls should wear slacks or a skirt, and dress shoes or sandals. Students will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony unless they are dressed appropriately.
Parents and Guests: Parents and guests should enter through entrance door #10. The ceremony will be taking place in the gym. Doors to the gym will also open at 6:15 PM. There will be ample handicapped seating and parking. You may bring as many guests as you like – there are no tickets for this event.
Guest Expectations: At different times during the ceremony I will ask parents and guests to refrain from applause so that students can be recognized. We will have designated times for group applause. Also, There can be no latex balloons in the Glenbard North building. Please respect these wishes, and insure that your guests are aware as well.
Last Day of School: The last day of school for eighth grade students is Thursday, May 30, 2019.
I am looking forward to celebrating with you on May 31st.
