Announcing Carol Stream School's Next Principal!

March 6, 2019

Dear Carol Stream Elementary School Community,

As we look forward to the 2019-20 school year, I am pleased to inform you that Mr. Steven Kyle has been selected as Principal of Carol Stream Elementary School.

Mr. Kyle is highly qualified for this position. He has served as Assistant Principal of Cloverdale Elementary School for the 2018-19 school year, and was Assistant Principal of Heritage Lakes Elementary School during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years. Prior to that, Mr. Kyle taught grades 2, 5 and 6 for Schaumburg School District 54. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University Chicago.

Mr. Kyle interviewed with CCSD93 administrators and with the Carol Stream Elementary School Building Leadership Team (BLT), comprised of school staff members and parents, who strongly recommended him for this position. Mr. Kyle stood out for his leadership abilities, integrity, passion for educating students, propensity for supporting staff in taking on innovative instructional practices, knowledge of and enthusiasm for the school’s goals, and overall vision for Carol Stream’s community.

During his three years with CCSD93, Mr. Kyle has proven to be a terrific school leader who has made a positive impact on Cloverdale and Heritage Lakes in his time there. I know he will continue his strong leadership as Carol Stream Elementary School’s Principal.

In the near future, Mr. Kyle will visit Carol Stream Elementary School to begin to get to know the school’s students and staff members, and parents will be provided with opportunities to meet him as well. Congratulations to Mr. Kyle!

William R. Shields, Ed.D.
