Notes for Middle School Families for Start of 2021-22 School Year
Please review the following notes for elementary school families for the start of the 2021-22 school year.
Health & Safety
All who enter our school, including students, will be required to wear a face covering that fits the CDC guidelines for masks. We will ensure students are properly distanced to the greatest extent possible and that hand washing/sanitizing occurs regularly. While there will no longer be a required student screener submission each morning, families are responsible to ensure their child is not sent to school while sick or having experienced recent close contact/potential exposure.
To understand the health and safety structures in place for this school year, visit www.ccsd93.com/mitigation for CCSD93’s complete Mitigation Guide for the 2021-22 school year.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to purchase school supplies, please find our school’s supply list at www.ccsd93.com/schoolsupplies to be sure your child is prepared for the first day.

You will be sent an events calendar during the first week of school, and you can always find CCSD93’s district-wide calendar at www.ccsd93.com/calendar and our school-wide calendar at our school website. Please be sure to double-check the school website calendar for the most up-to-date calendar information.
During mealtime, students will be seated at tables at a distance of 3-6 feet to the greatest extent possible, meeting health guidelines. To start the year, we will offer bag lunches to students, or you may send your child with a lunch as you would during a typical school year. Students will have the opportunity to request a lunch in the morning during class to receive one at mealtime. At this time, school meals are provided free of charge to our families due to COVID-19 relief funding, and students who receive a lunch will also be provided a free breakfast for the following day at the end of the school day. Families will be notified if and when meals once again require payment.
In a few moments, students who receive busing from CCSD93 will receive a separate message with bus route, stop and timing information for this school year. If you do not receive it and believe you should have, please call the school office using the contact information below.
Should you need translated versions of messages, you are invited to use our website’s automatic translation feature. Find out more about it at www.ccsd93.com/t.
Next week you will receive a physical copy of the District’s Parent Handbook, which describes CCSD93’s programs, services and more. You can always find it online at www.ccsd93.com/handbook.
