I am excited to be the Innovation Media Specialist at Western Trails Elementary School.  My personal mission is to organize a space that promotes literacy and 21st-century learning.  I am enthusiastic about providing books, informational resources, and technologies for our staff and students. 

I have been an elementary teacher in District 93 for over 20 years at both Heritage Lakes and Cloverdale School.  Before accepting the Innovation Media Specialist job in 2020, I worked as a K-5 Instructional Coach at Carol Stream Elementary School for 5 years.  I earned a Bachelors Degree in Education and worked through an extensive educational program to receive a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.  I completed a Technology Specialist graduate program at St. Francis University as well.

My husband Pete and I have been married for 22 years and we have two wonderful boys, Colin (age 20) and Ryan (age 17).  I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play sports, and reading!
