Danielle Bagdzius has been in education since 2007. She was an elementary classroom teacher in Naperville School District 203 and Riverside District 96 for 8 years before becoming a reading specialist, instructional coach, curriculum coordinator and dean of students in Komarek School District 94. Dani has held an administrative role the past two years. This will be her first year as assistant principal at Heritage Lakes.

Dani holds her Bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Masters in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University and Masters in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. 

Dani proudly resides in the unincorporated Wheaton/Carol Stream area with her husband, two children and her dog. She enjoys exercising, socializing, traveling and spending time outdoors.

Dani is dedicated to the field of education and looks forward to collaborating with families, the community, and staff to provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment that meets the needs of all students. She is looking forward to a great first year as a Heritage Lakes Husky!
