Welcome to Community Consolidated School District 93!

We are pleased to have you visit us.

CCSD93 is located in northwestern DuPage County, Illinois.  As an elementary school district, we serve students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from several communities.  The majority of our families live in Carol Stream, Bloomingdale, and Hanover Park.

There are currently about 4000 students enrolled in the district's eight schools.  We have six elementary buildings for students in grades kindergarten-5, two of which house our preschool program, and two middle schools which serve students in grades 6-8.  Our building populations range from 270 to 620 in the elementary schools.  The middle schools each house approximately 670 students.  We are pleased to have an overall district average class size of 20 for grades kindergarten through 5 and 22 for grades 6-8.

District 93 is committed to a long-range strategic plan in order to maximize the academic, social and emotional potential of each student in our schools.  Strategic Directions, as our plan is called, develops the framework for the utilization of world-class educational practices, in partnership with parents, staff, and community.  We hope that you will refer to our Strategic Directions document for a closer look at what District 93 is all about.  In it you will find the District's vision, goals, strategies, and core values detailed.  It also provides performance targets by which success can be measured over the coming years.

In keeping with our strategic plan, the district has implemented a character development initiative which is intended to reach beyond the classroom.  The community is invited and encouraged to learn more about CHARACTER COUNTS! ® and PBIS.

As one member of the several dynamic and growing communities we serve, we invite you to learn more about those communities.  You may do so by visiting the links we have provided to local web sites.  There you will discover more about the area, from its make-up to its government and from its services to its organizations.

We strive to work together with the communities we serve and welcome your involvement.

If you have questions or comments, we would like to hear from you.  There are many ways for you to contact us. You may use email from this website, call us, or write us.

Sincerely,

William R. Shields, Ed.D.
