2012 Summer-
- Replaced back Western Trails Lot with permeable pavers
- Replaced Boilers at Elsie Johnson with more efficient condensing type boilers, and installed variable frequency drives and pumps that work for both systems
- Completed construction of ECC including a Geothermal heating system, attained LEED certification on building
2013 Summer-
- Replaced Carol Stream parking lot with permeable pavers
- Replaced Boilers at Western Trails with more efficient condensing type boilers, and installed variable frequency drives and pumps that work for both systems
- Installed a new cooling tower and modular chiller system at Stratford to reduce energy consumption, as well as decreasing environmental impact from potential refrigerant leaks and the subsequent repairs
2014 Summer-
- Replaced 5 RTU at Jay Stream with Variable drive more energy efficient units
- Upgraded pneumatic building control system with DDC BAS system at Jay Stream. This allows us to be more accurate, responsive, and energy efficient
- Replaced Roy DeShane parking lots with permeable paver type
- Retrofitted old burners and controls on 2 main Jay Stream Boilers, and re-piped and controlled existing high efficiency boiler to maximize energy savings during the mild tempered heating days
2015 Summer-
- Replaced all exterior windows at Carol Stream School with more efficient Energy Star types
- Replaced Roy DeShane, Western Trails and Carol Stream School’s exterior lights with LED type. All parking lot and wall pack types were replaced for increased energy savings
- Replaced Boilers at Roy DeShane with more efficient condensing type boilers, and installed variable frequency drives and pumps that work for both systems
- Replaced hallway flooring at Elsie Johnson with a no-finish, low maintenance, product that minimizes the environmental impact of chemicals normally used to maintain floors
- Applied for and received Energy Star certifications for two locations
2016- Summer
- Replacing Jay Stream parking lot with permeable paver type
- Replaced hallway flooring at Roy DeShane with a no-finish, low maintenance, product that minimizes the environmental impact of chemicals normally used to maintain floors
- Replaced Elsie Johnson, Cloverdale and Heritage Lakes School’s exterior lights with LED type. All parking lot and wall pack types are replaced for increased energy savings
- Applied for and received Energy Star certifications for two locations
- At Heritage Lakes School, installed variable frequency drives and pumps that work for both heating and cooling systems
