Parents participated in activities that gave them the opportunity to meet other parents in the program. Break-out sessions were provided by the Dual Language teachers, Mireya Sanchez, Gabriela Lovatt, Angelina Spiotta, and the Director for English Language Services, David Aleman. The sessions covered the many advantages for being bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural, and materials used in the dual language classrooms designed to foster biliteracy. Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Marie Hoffmann, and principals Korrie McCarry and Tom Doyle assisted in the planning of the event.Over 100 parents, children, and relatives attended this family activity night. Thank you to our parents, teachers, and administration for making this a successful night!
