Observations/Student Teachers

  • Student Teachers/Field Experience Placements/Classroom Observation Hours

Our staff welcomes the opportunity to support student teachers in their journey to becoming professional educators. As a district we recognize the direct correlation between effective instruction and student success, our mission. Our supervising teachers are experienced educators familiar with research-based strategies, assessment of and for learning, as well as standards-based assessment, instruction, and grading. In addition, student teachers actively participate in grade level team planning and professional development.

All pre-clinical student teaching placements and student teaching placements are made between Human Resources and the Student Teaching/Education Departments of an accredited university or college.

All students seeking classroom observation hours, field experience placements, or student teacher rotations must contact the Human Resources Department at (630) 539-3230. Student Teaching placements must interview with the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. All placements must complete a criminal background check before working with our students.

We do not make student teaching placements with individual candidates. Please have your university or college contact us directly at 630-539-3230.
