Learn The Signs. Act Early.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), in collaboration with a number of national partners, launched a public awareness campaign called "Learn the Signs. Act Early." The intent of the campaign is to: educate parents about childhood development, provide information to early warning signs to developmental concerns, and encourage developmental screenings and intervention. The CDC has provided a useful app that will help parents track their child’s milestones from age 2 months to 5 years. The app provides illustrated checklists, tips for encouraging your child’s development, and ways to find out what to do if you are ever concerned about how your child is developing.
From birth to age 5, your child should reach milestones in how he or she plays, learns, speaks, acts, and moves. The app provides photos and videos that illustrate each milestone and make tracking them for your child easy and fun!Click here for the Milestone Tracker AppSTAR NET Region II: FREE WORKSHOPS July through December 2017 Workshop Calendar
