WHAT IS THE MENTOR PROGRAM?

  • Mentor Logo

District 93 is proud of their Mentor  Program to assist children who may be having challenges with academics, social relationships, behavior, or organization skills. This program is designed to have a member from our district staff or community member mentor a student who has been referred to the Mentor Program by a District 93 staff  member. Students are mentored once a week during their lunch/recess.  Each mentor has participated in a background screening process provided by the Carol Stream Police Department as well as training by the District PreventionCoordinator . A site coordinator is available  to parents and mentors at each school to  answer any questions.  The Site Coordinator also acts as the parent's liaison to the  classroom teacher and mentor.
